Today’s Snippet features characters from Firestorm Encounters, Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book #5. Enjoy!
From time to time there’s multi-part Snippet’s that go together. I think of it as a Snippet Serial and I name them. The below Snippet Serial Infinity Extras features the books at the time I wrote these Snippet’s that were available in my Phoenix Intelligence Agency series. Eventually when books are released in the Phoenix Intelligence Agency series an Snippet might be written and if it is it will be added to the Infinity Extras Snippet Serial. So this Snippet Serialis a continuous one (at my discretion/time permits).
Infinity Extras is a multi-part Snippet Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment. They are usually in order of the Phoenix Intelligence Agency series for which they are written about (unless otherwise noted).
This might be rough draft so excuse any typos and so on.

“Ailllellelell Detetetethhh Crulliiie!” Kaitya’s battle cry echoed as she flamed, and the fire flowed over the chains then up her war hammer.
Adrenaline and need filled Fyodor as he studied the woman who had claimed him as hers. She was sexy as hell and fierce. He loved each and everything about her. She was stubborn, blunt and a fierce warrior. She wielded her powers expertly and without mercy. Kaitya was still learning what she could do as a hybrid — she was a mix of Amazonian Warrior and Firebird.
“If you keep staring at me that way, we’ll never get any training done.” Kaitya glanced at him a small smile on her face.
“I can’t help but be distracted by you.” Fyodor moved closer to her.
The heat from the flames surrounding the chains and her favorite weapon—square-headed war hammer— heated him. He went right up to her. Her flames didn’t affect him.
“You like playing with fire.” Kaitya reached out for his hand.
“Of course.” Fyodor slid his fingers along her’s.
Kaitya maneuvered him until he was standing his back to her front. Although he was a little taller than her, she effortlessly lifted the hammer and in moments it started to sing the sound that heralded death and pain for those opponents who heard it.
“With me.” She whispered.
Fyodor placed his hand along her arm and slid his fingers up to her hand and they clasped around hers. In the next moment he pushed out with his powers. Shadows rose along the chains and flowed upwards circling then laying along the chains to the hammer. Kaitya moved and he instinctively moved with her. Together they threw the hammer and it whistled in the air. They moved in an intricate dance that if they had an opponent they would have died.
Infuse. Kaitya spoke mind to mind.
She provided the codeword they had come up with for the warning of what she was about to do. Her power tickled along his skin—he knew she deliberately let him feel it — since they were only in training, if they were in real battle no one would’ve felt what she did. In the next moment her hammer took a dive went into the earth came back out and circled and grew higher and higher. Power pulsed into it. It was the trap they had created to capture their opponent who had eluded them too often.
“We’re getting better at this.” Kaitya kissed him softly on the side of the neck.
Fyodor turned to face her pressing against her body. “Yes.” He lifted her chin and looked into her eyes. “When you get all warrior-take-no-prisoners it makes me — “
“I can feel what it makes you.” Kaitya rolled her hips.
Fyodor moaned as she tempted him. “I thought you were concerned about us getting training done.”
“Just making sure to keep you on edge.” She kissed him fiercely then stepped back.
He kept their fingers linked together as they held the hammer. “I’m always on edge.”
He lifted his hand pushed it out and yanked. The shadows opened and a man stepped out and impassive look on his face. Surprisingly Fyodor didn’t sense any fear in the man. He was bold to try to sneak up on them.
“My king.” The dark-haired man lowered his head in acknowledgment then stared into his eyes.
“I don’t know you.” Fyodor studied the Shadower. “Yet…”
The Shadower lifted his hands broke Fyodor’s hold then made an intricate motion of his hands. With that movement Fyodor knew who he was. Shock filled him as he stared at the man drawing power to a fever pitch. From the corner of his eye, he saw Kaitya shift her hold and let the war hammer fly.
“Katiya no.” Fyodor roared.
She went to pull it back, but the Shadower dragged the hammer to him then stilled it in the air. Fyodor released her hand and the weapon.
“F—“
Fyodor interrupted Kaitya. “I see that you’re still dramatic.”
“I see that you’re still an irritating little shit.” The Shadower replied.
“I’m older.” Fyodor flipped him off.
He laughed.
“Hello, can someone clue me in?” Kaitya scowled. “I don’t like people touching my hammer.”
“Sister-in-law has a temper.” The man inclined his head. “No wonder Fyodor claimed you as his.” He released the hammer and it fell gently to the ground.
Kaitya looked at him eyes narrowed. “I thought I’d met all your siblings and family.”
“Those that we didn’t think were dead.” Fyodor studied his brother.
Shadows flowed off him and he revealed the real him. He was the mirror image of Fyodor except for his skin. Intense violet eyes studied Fyodor. His dual braided violet hair spilled over one broad shoulder with the four tips of the braids coming to rest to just below his waist. The strands were caught at the top of his head in a high ponytail. His rich dark honey skin coupled with the vividness of his hair and eyes made him mysterious. He was tense making his sleek and muscular frame seem ready for anything. He was dressed casually in flowing black shirt that went to mid-thigh over his dark blue jeans. His knee-high black boots with buckles and laces were just like Fyodor’s.
“He’s your twin.” Kaitya sounded shocked. “You never told me you had a twin. Wait what do you mean dead?”
“We’ll discuss.” His brother turned and walked away.
“I’m so confused.” Kaitya said. “You’re going to just let him walk away. How do you know you can trust him?”
“He’s my baby brother.” Fyodor put his hand over his chest.
He’d thought him dead. They all had. He figured that had been deliberate on his brother’s part. And Fyodor’d bet it had something to do with their father’s madness that his brother somehow knew about so long before any of them did.
“By two minutes.” His brother called before he stepped into the shadows and was gone.
“What just happened?” Kaitya came closer to Fyodor.
“The battle we are in just took a turn.” Fyodor smiled.
“What’s the name of this brother of yours?”
He shook his head. “This is like before Shadow World was destroyed never say or even think it’s true name. For now, my brother’s name will be the same. It would be to our advantage against our father. He’s using a sort of hidden field like I did when we first met. So he doesn’t want anyone to know he is here and alive.” Fyodor for now didn’t think of what the ramification of his brother’s return could mean to the outcome of the fight they were in. For all the Shadower’s.
“Ok.”
At her tone Fyodor looked at Kaitya.
“The same stands for him as it does for your other siblings or family.”
“I remember and I quote—if they are found to be in collusion with Blagden, they will be dealt with. Bond shadow or not, if I am called to, I will eliminate them.” Fyodor smiled. “You make me all tingly when you get this way.”
“What way?” Kaitya lifted her head.
“All beautiful battle.”
Kaitya rolled her eyes. “You are so weird.”
Fyodor didn’t answer. He pulled her into him and lowered his head.
“How much longer do you want to train?” He kissed her teasingly. “Before we can have some private time.”
“Don’t try to seduce me.” Kaitya smacked him on the shoulder then stepped away.
She drew in her war hammer then readied for more training. She strode away. Fyodor watched her. She was all grace, power and his.
