Today’s Snippet features characters from Snow, Enigma, Book #1. Enjoy!
From time to time multi-part Snippet’s that go together. I think of it as a Snippet Serial and I name them. The below Snippet Serial Demystification features the books at the time I wrote these Snippet’s that were available in my Enigma series.
Demystification is a multi-part Snippet Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment. They are usually in order of the Enigma series for which they are written about (unless otherwise noted).

Snow glanced around the empty area. Usually it was very busy with various people around however at this time of the early morning no one was around.
“You do know my following you to some unknown destination at this time of day when there are no witnesses shows my devotion to you.” Kyrian walked beside her.
Snow brushed her fingers against his. He glanced at her surprise visible in his lavender eyes. He laced his fingers with hers as they continued walking.
“I love that you’re adventurous…well in some things.” She squeezed his hand. “You’re going to need that adventurous spirit shortly.”
“All of a sudden I’m feeling like you have something planned that is going to amuse you.” Kyrian looked at her and chuckled. “It’s always entertaining with you.”
Snow laughed. As they reached the door she released his hand and slid her hand into her pocket and pulled out her tools. She stepped up to the door and got to work on the lock.
“You do know I could open the door. You didn’t need to bring or use lock picks.”
“I could also get in without the lock picks but there’s something about the feel of them that makes certain things more pleasurable.” Snow winked at him as she finished opening the door.
Kyrian snorted.“You just like the challenge of doing things the more adventurous way. That’s the way you are and I love that about you. ”
Snow gestured for him to go before her. Kyrian walked into the darkened interior without hesitation. Snow smiled. When she had asked him to follow her somewhere without telling him the details he went along willingly. He really was willing to follow her anywhere.
She waved her hand and turned on the lights. They walked down the hall and then into the open area. Kyrian looked around studying the area. Snow waited to see what he would do.
“Why are we here?” Kyrian glanced at her.
“To have some fun.” Snow bounced. “Since you didn’t have the chance to open the door for us how about you get us all outfitted.”
Kyrian laughed.“Sure.”
Before she could blink Snow and he was dressed and ready. She skated to the track and did a dance. Kyrian joined her.
“You’re so going down.” Kyrian pointed at her. “Me against you roller derby is a great idea.”
Snow skated off laughing. As she did people started appearing. Some came from the back while others used their powers and stepped out of the shadows or just appeared.
“Ohhh… it’s like that.” Kyrian stated. ”Let’s keep this a friendly competition.”
Snow turned around and skated backward then stopped. “Hey I’m not the one who’s so competitive.” She pointedly glared at some of the other players and Kyrian.
He smiled sheepishly. “It wasn’t my fault. It was him.” He pointed.
“Of course you’re going to blame my dad.” Snow rolled her eyes. “I already know how competitive my dad and brothers are but I didn’t know the levels you would get with them.”
“Stop the yakking let’s get to playing.” Her dad said that gleam in his eyes.
She and her brothers had lovingly nicknamed it. When he had that look it didn’t matter or family, friend, or foe he was about to unleash everything and anything to win. It was entertaining since he was usually more easy-going about a lot of things. When he was passionate about something such as competitions that all went out the window.
“Someone wants to get beat quickly.” One of her teammates said.
The others joined in and insults started flying between the competitors.
Kyrian came over to her then leaned close and said. “This should be very interesting.”
“I predict they’ll be lots of injuries before we’re done.“ Snow laughed. “I’ll help you with your aches and you help me with mine.”
“Deal.” Kyrian kissed her on the cheek. “I’d go anywhere for you. Even when it leads to this.”
“And I do the same for you. Let’s get to it.” She slapped him on the butt and skated away laughing.
