*holding up a glass of champagne* Wheeee…onto today’s 2026 Book Birthday On My Birthday Tradition Snippet!!!
Today’s Snippet features characters from Indigo Rain, Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book #1. Enjoy!
From time to time there’s multi-part Snippet’s that go together. I think of it as a Snippet Serial and I name them. The below Snippet Serial Infinity Extras features the books at the time I wrote these Snippet’s that were available in my Phoenix Intelligence Agency series. Eventually when books are released in the Phoenix Intelligence Agency series an Snippet might be written and if it is it will be added to the Infinity Extras Snippet Serial. So this Snippet Serialis a continuous one (at my discretion/time permits).
Infinity Extras is a multi-part Snippet Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment. They are usually in order of the Phoenix Intelligence Agency series for which they are written about (unless otherwise noted).
This might be rough draft so excuse any typos and so on.

Kalina stepped into the backyard and immediately made herself invisible. She knew he thought since he was supposedly one of the best trackers he could escape her. She stalked forward making sure to search for him with all her senses. Ryne might be feared and whispered about but she was also formidable in her own right.
Unerringly she walked across the open area of the backyard seeking, searching and sensing. Suddenly she stopped and waited. With a quick movement of her hand she reached out and grabbed him. He shimmered into view.
His fathomless light indigo eyes made her pulse pound as it usually did. She stared at him, taking in his tanned skin and masterful features—a broad forehead, sharp cheekbones offset by an aristocratic nose and firm lips leading to a rounded chin. His face was as familiar to her as her own.
“Do you know who I am?” The purr in his voice had a challenging lilt.
“The man who I outwitted as he used my movements to shadow mirror me.” Kalina smirked.
“So much arrogance.” Ryne said in a soft purr. “Never underestimate your opponent.”
Ryne flowed and she didn’t even see or sense his movements. He stilled and was across the yard watching her. Although he didn’t show it she could tell he was smug. Kalina inclined her head. Ryne stiffened then looked at his waist. She could tell the moment he spotted her dagger she had slid into his belt.
Ryne looked at her and smiled. “Woman when I think you can’t surprise me you do.”
“I love to keep things interesting.” Kalina rolled her shoulders. “Ailllellelell Detetetethhh Crulliiie!” Her war cry rent the air as she flew straight up and across the clearing to him.
Ryne caught her in the air and flowed with her in his arms whirling them around the clearing of their backyard. Kalina laughed and he joined her. She’d never take for granted the joy of being with him.
“We’re two imperfect pieces that fit together.” Ryne said huskily as he continued moving them around. “You’re the best thing that happened to me.”
Her breath caught as his words seemed to resonate in the air. They came to life and filled the very air then became before ricocheting through time, realms and dimensions. In their world they knew intent created a power that could not be broken.
“We’re two imperfect pieces whose soul, heart and bodies will never part.” Kalina stared into his eyes. “I love you Ryne and I will for every single second of our lives.”
Her words resonated in the air as they came to life filling the air as they swept through time, realms and dimensions. The power wouldn’t ever be broken.
