Today’s Snippet features characters from Veils Rising, Rarities Incorporated, Book #3. Enjoy!
From time to time there’s multi-part Snippet’s that go together. I think of it as a Snippet Serial and I name them. The below Snippet Serial Uninhibited features the books at the time I wrote these Snippet’s that were available in my Rarities Incorporated series. Eventually when books are released in the Rarities Incorporated series an Snippet might be written and if it is it will be added to the Uninhibited Snippet Serial. So this Snippet Serial is a continuous one (at my discretion/time permits).
Uninhibited is a multi-part Snippet Serial and best read in order for the most enjoyment.

Cautiously she looked to make sure no one was there. Dilana entered the room without turning on the lights. She sat in the chair in the dark and sighed softly. She took the e-reader and turned it on. Soon she was lost in the adventure of the story.
“Why are you sitting in the dark?” Magni asked softly.
“So I can have some peace and enjoy my book.” Dilana didn’t look up as she continued to read.
Magni didn’t say anything further. Reluctantly she glanced at him. He was relaxing on the couch.
“I thought you said you had something to do.” Dilana frowned.
“That something was to have some time with you.” Magni shrugged. “I’m happy to do it now. Go back to your reading.”
Dilana studied him. “You’re looking for some peace too.”
“Yes. It seems like whenever we have a moment something happens to interrupt it. We been on the go go go and I just want to vegetate.” Magni nodded. “Me and this couch are one.”
“Well do you mind sharing your couch?” Dilana chuckled.
“With you. I don’t mind sharing at all.”
She rose and went to the couch. Magni opened his arms as she lay down then settled against him. Magni cuddled her and kissed the top of her head. She went back to reading her book while enjoying the sound of his breathing. As she read the busyness of the last few weeks faded from her mind. Although Magni didn’t say anything she could tell he wasn’t sleeping.
“This is nice.” She said patting his chest. “Just us being here alone together. We need to make sure we do this more often. Take some time for self-care.”
“Yes.” He agreed. “That’s a plan I can get behind.”
“Good. Then going forward its operation unlocked.” Dilana stroked his chest. “Mutual self-care.”
“Exactly.” Magni sighed. “This is so good.”
“Let me read to you.” Dilana turn back to her reader and started to share the book with him.
