Snippet Saturday – First Kiss

blog-header-option2
Today’s snippet theme is First Kiss. That all important first kiss can be done in so many ways. Enjoy a look at a first kiss from one of my books.

An snippet from Seducing a God….

seducingagod_msr_smallNarrowing her eyes Paula did something that she was sure he would not expect. Stepping forward she tugged out of his loosened grip reached up and grabbed him by the shirt, stood on her toes and kissed him.

Not used to being the aggressor Paula went with her instinct and kissed him thoroughly. She licked the seam of his lips and when he opened she swept her tongue deep inside. She devoured his mouth in a heated kiss. Markus’ heart beat rapidly. Murmuring she went closer to him and his arms wrapped around her. He wasn’t participating just taking her sensual assault. This wasn’t about anything more that unadulterated, unbridled lust.

Drawing back Paula looked at him to see what he would do. He said nothing just looked at her through heated eyes. Uneasy Paula wondered if she had overstepped a mark.

Finally he broke the silence. “Brace yourself.” His voice was a hoarse raw sound.

Markus pulled her deeper into his body and aligned her into him until every part of them touched, then he kissed her. Delved deep and swift with no pretense. He lapped at each crevice in her mouth, sucking strongly at her tongue. He murmured deepening the kiss stroking in and out slowly then harder. Her body stiffened in shock as her pussy started to vibrate in time with his kiss.

His murmer was all the warning she got before he let out a soft purr. Shards of pleasure racked her with each decisive stroke of his tongue. Shocked she felt an orgasm start to build. Markus tightened his hold on her. Paula went under. She murmured too while he ate at her mouth, sucking in her taste, trying to consume her.

God. Her body gushed as pleasure unlike anything she could ever imagine bombarded her. Growling deep in his throat Markus gentled his assault, changing the texture of his kiss.

The contrast from wild to soft rolled over her with the tenderness of a summer breeze and the power of a lightening storm. Paula was lost in the sensuality of his kiss. From the moment she had seen him across the room she wanted him. He growled again making her pussy pulse.

Sinking her hands into his silken hair it loosened from its binding, spreading out, tickling her hands. Holding on tightly Paula gripped him close. He purred in her mouth again sending off shock waves of pleasure to her pussy. His tongue stroked softly along the sides of her tongue then he nipped it startling her. Pleasure crashed into her as her orgasms overtook her driving her body insane. Gasping Paula bowed at the force of it. She hung onto him as pleasure jerked her body. Paula’s mind blanked under the force of her release.

Markus stiffened and mumbled, “Christ, sorry.”

Gently he leaned her against the wall, stepped back and walked rapidly away around the corner.

Leaning against the wall Paula tried to catch her breathe as small explosions of pleasure continued to rack her. With a kiss he made me come.

Raising a shaky hand she pushed back her hair from her face. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if they actually did the deed. On rubbery legs Paula pushed away from the wall, turned and walked to the door of her childhood bedroom. Fine shivers filled her as she walked. Tiny orgasms continued to flood her making her pussy cream. She had to change her panties. They were soaked.

A Rousing Debate

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I’ve mentioned a few times at various places I enjoy a good natured rousing debate when it comes to books. Since me and my friends are avid readers we have these talks often. If we like a book we can go on for hours about it and each get something different from the story. Anyway back to this current debate. Since I went to RT last month. I came back with books from various authors I have not tried. I had a good natured debate about a book a mutual friend and I had both read. She didn’t like it and I loved it.

That led to a long debate of us both listing out points and countering why we liked or disliked the book. We got loud and emotionally about our point of view. I love a great debate on the merits of a book. Gets the blood pumping. Of course others around us joined in. And it lead to other discussion of various author’s work we liked, did not like, the reasons why or why not. It was a very reveling conversation.

Again I was given an example of the emotion of writing. As I said many time to various people. No matter if your book is not liked or liked. It has created an emotion. As an author this is what I want to do. Whether it is good or bad. I want you to feel it. The one thing I do not want is apathy. That is like a punch to any writer. Please NO APATHY. Give me any emotion and I will feel that I have done my job.

Now I am not saying if I get a bad review or email that a reader didn’t like my work I won’t wonder why at first. But when it comes down to it I will be content and happy. I created a reaction.

An Emotion.

I touched the reader in someway. From that little debate I had the other day. I realized that people will remember you if they have enough emotion whether good or bad. Again I came away with a few new authors to try just from that conversation alone. My TBR pile is growing by leaps and bounds. Hey just because someone didn’t like a book doesn’t mean what they saw as flaws I or another reader wouldn’t see as treasures.

Come on and share the books you have read and created strong emotion. Don’t be shy it can be good or bad.

Snippet Saturday – Defining Moment

blog-header-option2
I’ve spoken of moments on my blog in the past and how they are powerful. They should be celebrated and observed in some way. Today’s snippet theme is defining moments. First a slight set up. Nigel Ha’gan my hero is having a hard time moving on with his life after his wife passed. Well until an intervention via a dream shakes him up.

An snippet from God Style Temptation….

“Nigel, you have to let me go,” Zarlu said in that soft voice of hers, then she smacked him on the head.

“Ow, what did you do that for?” Nigel looked at Zarlu’s twinkling blue eyes.

She smiled, a sweet twist of her lips and put her hands on her hips. He knew from her stance he was in trouble.

“Why are you holding me as a shield so no one can get close to you? Geesh. You’re a man for god’s sake. You have needs.” She paced back and forth in front of him. She stopped and gave him a sexy look. “I know you’re not a saint.” She chuckled sensuously. “So stop being an ass and start to live.”

Watching her Nigel ached to touch her one last time. She smiled as if she understood. Coming to him, she slid her arms around him. Sinking into her embrace Nigel felt her love and care for him.

Zarlu pulled back with her arms still around him and sighed. “Nigel, it’s time to get back to living. Stop holding onto the past.” She looked at him. “When you’re ready you’ll know it’s time.” She glanced over his shoulder. Following her gaze Nigel looked at himself and the woman on the bed.

“Her name is Aurora and she needs you as much as you need her, Nigel.” Zarlu touched his cheek gently, pulled his face close and kissed him softly and tenderly. “I love you, my warlious.” She started to fade.

Reaching for her he whispered. “I love you, my sesuioul.” She smiled and disappeared. Watching her leave Nigel knew it was the last time. Tears rained down his face as he returned to his body.

Gasping he came awake, careful not to jerk the sleeping woman. He felt the tears on his face. Taking them off his cheek he held them and watched as they turned into a handful of diamonds.

TV pleasures: So You Think You Can Dance – 2009

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

I had to call my sister and give her what for earlier tonight. I could not believe she didn’t tell me one of my fav shows was starting. So You Think You Can Dance is back. She laughed at me when I told her why I was peeved. Humph.

I almost missed one of my fav shows because of her. Thankfully I didn’t. And from what I am seeing with this first show the season will be fab. Some of the tryouts were so great. I can’t wait to see what this season will bring.

As the season progresses I love watching the contestants learn dances out of there comfort zone. The wonderful choreography numbers they some up with. Lots of the dances last year moved me so much.

Can’t wait to see how the next few weeks plays out and I can’t wait to see who will win this year’s So You Think You Can Dance.

Versatility

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

One thing I’ve learned is to be versatile. No matter if it is in my daily life or in my writing. Things come up in both you don’t expect and you have to know how to bend what you have planned to suit the unexpected things. For example the other day I had my dinner all planned out. I was leaving from work in my day job when I thought of what I would eat for dinner when I got home. I remembered that I had some turkey pieces in the freezer and I figured I would make that with some rice. However when I got home I opened the freezer and saw no turkey. It was then I realized I had eaten the last of it. I had my mind set on the turkey but since I didn’t have any I had to come up with an alternate. Made chicken instead and it was just as filling.

This is what I mean about being versatile. It is the same in my writing. Sometimes I have a plan in my mind how a story will go but when I write all of a sudden it changes. I’ve learned to go with the changes and let the story go where it must. Believe me when I try to stop a flow it gets me stuck. So by going with it I am able to write. More times than not it is a good flow. This is what is happening in my latest book. The story is taking me places I didn’t expect and it is a great thing. I can’t wait to see where it will go next.

By learning to listen to my versatile side I’ve experienced lots of great things.

What happened today that made you go with your versatile side?
