Taige Crenshaw -…increasing the sizzle factor

Friday and I have a lot planned this weekend. The first is another trip to the airport to pick up my brother in law. {Sigh} As you know me and the airlines are having some problems. Lost luggage and so forth. So what happened this week?

Still working away on my story that has my mind racing and heart pounding. The twist and turns are making it interesting. Still being mysterious about what my current project is. Want to have it done before I say too much.

Less than a week before my next release from EC Carnal Awakening. I am so excited. Carnal Awakening will be released on July 27, 2007. And then I got some more news I got the release date for Onyx Moon Rising, which is coming from Liquid Silver Books. The release date August 6, 2007. Whoo Hooo… So I have two releases coming right behind each other.

Also got the release date for Shadow Dance which is coming from Ellora’s Cave. The release date December 7, 2007. Whoo Hooo… Make sure to mark your calendar’s.

I’ve also added a Release Calendar to my website. It has all the release dates I have so far for my upcoming novels.

For my Monday’s Adventure it started with a call to a company I placed an order with.

A few weeks ago I placed an order for some new clothes. Since I am an avid seamstress when I buy clothes I like to do it in person so I can actually touch the clothes and check out how it is made. Well I was looking through a catalog which I should know better than to do. I get tempted to buy and since I can’t actually go to a physical store to see and touch the outfit I usually pass on buying it. Well this time I gave into my weakness and ordered this cute dress and a few other things. I kept out hope they would be okay.

I got my order yesterday and after picking it up I eagerly rushed home to open it. I’m happy to say the dress was even better than in the catalog. The other pieces I ordered was also good however {now you knew there would be a however} one of the outfits I ordered was in the wrong color and size. SO I got on the phone and called the customer service number. After waiting for quite a bit I did eventually get to a customer service person. I explained my problem. They understood and apologized for the error. They stated they would ship out the correct size and color outfit I ordered as well as send a return postage voucher to send back the wrong one. They even threw in a discount for my next order whenever I choose to make one.

Now that is customer service. I got off the phone quite pleased. Will I order from them again? You bet with customer service like that they will get my business. There is nothing like being pleasant and courteous. Yes that word again. After my last Monday Adventure it was a welcome experience.

Today I went to Toys “R” Us I haven’t been there in a while and with good reason. Every time I go I get in trouble. I buy things I shouldn’t did I ever tell you I have a weakness for stuffed animals. Yeah I do have the weakness. UnO is another weakness of mine but I won’t go into it since we are talking about my stuff animal weakness.

I had a lot of stuffed animals all over my house. I collected them. I had this cute dark read bull with black horns. A Bugs Bunny (another weakness. You notice I keep using pass tense. Yes I had last year I got rid of them. {biting fist to not cry}. I had so many and for so many years I just decided one day to get rid of them all. I did and it was painful. And since I promised I would not buy anymore for at least a year a visit to Toys “R” Us was painful. My sister had taken pity in me last year and bought me a cute stuffed doll (I like those to) in a pink sweat suit. I hadn’t broken my word and got any more stuffed animals or dolls. Well I am proud to say I didn’t buy any from Toys “R” Us.

Then again since the year is up in a week and I will be taking my nephew to Build a Bear around that time {shrug} maybe it wasn’t such a hardship after all. {Wicked grin}
